Myanmar Scuba Diving Holiday

(October-Mid May)

Mergui Archipelago-Burma "M6 diving cruise"

6 Days / 6 Nights (5 days of diving)
US $ 1,350 (plus US$ 100 for Mergui Archipelago entry/visa fee)

SEAL (South East Asia Liveaboards Co Ltd) is the true pioneer of diving the Mergui Archipelago. For over fifty years the beautiful Mergui Archipelago, comprising over eight hundred islands, has been closed to foreigners. This area offers pioneer diving as well as the dive sites, which we have found to be excellent.

The waters of the Mergui Archipelago offer sightings of large pelagic and schooling fish. Sharks and Rays are fairly common - Silvertip, Black Tip, Grey Reef shark, Whale-sharks and the occasional Bull Shark can be seen. Great macro life can be found - Sea Horses, Ornate Ghost-Pipe and Stone-fish are amongst the archipelago’s rare inhabitants. Huge barrel sponges, soft and hard corals abound.

This truly is one of the very few remaining untouched areas on earth and an outstanding location for live-aboard scuba diving holidays and sailing yacht charters.

Mergui Archipelago Myanmar "M6" Diving Schedule

Due to its virtual isolation, the islands and surrounding seas are alive with an amazing diversity of wildlife great and small, together with soft and hard corals and huge barrel sponges. The ‘greats’ include various species of sharks, regular sightings of large numbers of manta rays, giant groupers and other schooling fish, with occasional sightings of whale sharks and bull sharks. Great macro life can be found. Sea horses, Ornate Ghost-pipe and Stone-fish are amongst the archipelago’s rare inhabitants.

Most of the islands are covered in rain forest, whilst the incredible Myanmar beaches are devoid of humans; the only visitors are turtles and other, mostly nocturnal, wildlife. There will be opportunities to go ashore on the islands to explore or, just relax on the beach. You won't find a better evening barbecue setting!

Our "M6" diving cruise is on s/y Gaea. A comfortable wooden ketch-rigged trimaran, length 51 ft x beam 26 ft. She is professionally built and maintained. Spacious well laid-out decks with awnings and deck cushions.

We look forward to welcoming you on-board!
